Description

It is proposed to establish an international company in order to develop and commercially operate the Space Launch System based on Vector-1 LV on the world launch services market. Vector-1 LV is a super-light three-stage liquid launch vehicle designed to provide launch services for single and group launches of spacecraft with mass of from 1 to 500 kg into low Earth circular and elliptic orbits including sunsynchronous orbits. SLS also includes ground infrastructure that provides LV and spacecraft preparation for the launch and launching. The environmentally friendly propellants such as liquid oxygen and kerosene are used on the main stages of Vector-1 LV as for the upper stage high-boiling propellants are used. Vector-1 LV composed of liquid rocket engines developed in Ukraine on the basis of the series produced rocket engines and many years' experience of Yuzhnoye SDO specialists in development and operation of these engines. The first and second stage engines are developed using the most effective closed-cycle scheme while the third stage engine is developed using innovative pneumatic pump scheme. Vector-1 LV is developed with the use of the simplest and cost-effective mono-block scheme, a single engine is on each stage. The optimal combination of the proven and relatively inexpensive aluminum alloys and highly effective composite materials is used for the stages structure. The payload fairing is made of carbon plastic and has an outside diameter of 1.7 m the same as the LV diameter is. The LV total length with the fairing is ~ 24.5 m. Having a lift-off mass of ~ 36 tons, Vector-1 LV ensures injection of a spacecraft or a group of spacecraft with a mass of maximum 650 kg into low orbit with an altitude of 200 km and maximum 400 kg into sunsynchronous orbit with an altitude of 700 km.
